Slips and Trips
Wet showroom floors, wet workshop floors are always an increased risk to employees and visitors.
Entrance mats at showroom doors can help reduce the amount of water visitors bring in on their shoes. Where cars have been moved in and out of the showroom and water pools form from 'drips' of the car, they should be cleaned up quickly with an absorbent mop.
Workshops are difficult to keep dry due to the volume of vehicle movement, floors may become particularly slippery if other spillages contaminate rain water examples; coolant/antifreeze, oils, fuels. Regular absorbent material (granules, mats, squeegee mop, etc) should be applied to try and keep the floor as dry as reasonably practicable.
